Do you want to make a difference in your community? Can we find a solution to ACEs (Adverse Childhood Experiences) in Alaska? Do you have that solution?
Alaska's is diverse and full of capable individuals who know how to take care of themselves. Can we learn how to help and take care of each other?
The ACT on the Trail heroX Challenge is a call out to all wellness teams in Alaska to find a solution to Adverse Childhood Experiences in Alaska.
Our goal is to see teams build community resilience through locally driven solutions that work to create hope, give people a reason to thrive and have purpose. We want to see what positive protective factors are available regionally and throughout the state.
The judging panel will select the wellness team that creates this breakthrough:
"Our communities will be places where adults can overcome a rough start and thrive, and where the next generation is raised in a healthier, more supportive environment."
Find or form a Wellness Coalition, Youth Council, or Youth Leader Club and build a challenge project that can bring about positive protective factors in your community and potentially the state at large. Bring that project to life by the time the Red Lantern finishes the Iditarod in Nome, no later than March 20th, 2016.
ACT and you could potentially win $35,000 for your wellness team and your community.
